James: Simply the Gospel is unavailable, but you can change that!

It’s easy to get tangled up in the cares of this world and forget what’s important in life. When we lose sight of the big picture, James reminds us what truly matters: simply the gospel. He challenges us to be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only.” The gospel should define how we think, feel, and act.

Pray that God would show you what He desires to teach you through trials. Read the entire book of James again. Reflect on verses 1:1–4. Repeatedly reading a biblical book helps us internalize its words, allowing for the Bible’s message to come to us in times of need.
